I LOVE photographing families and telling your story.  My sessions are natural and relaxed ~ capturing the connection, love and personality of your family. I have a lifestyle approach to sessions, capturing moments as they happen, as you interact as a family and be yourselves.  There are no forced smiles or stiff awkward poses!  My favourite images are often the candid moments when you almost forget I am there.  Grandparents often want photos of everyone looking, so I always make sure I get a few of those too!

I adore photographing children and seeing their personalities emerge through the photo session. They all bring something different to a session and I believe in letting them be kids.  I have a huge amount of experience with children so you can relax and I will take control. Don’t worry if things get a little crazy with the kids ~ I have an abundance of patience.

Family sessions usually last around 45minutes to one hour. For outdoor sessions I can help you choose from one of the amazing locations we are lucky to have around Christchurch, but if you have a place that is special to your family then lets go there!  You may want to have a family session in your home, which is another fantastic option.

I love to photograph at ‘golden hour’ ~ about one hour prior to sunset, as the light is golden and amazing, but that doesn’t always work with young children, especially in summer, so we can arrange another time of day that suits.  Morning sessions can also have beautiful light, and if you are an early bird sunrise can be magical too.
