HOW DO WE BOOK
Contact me for availability and any questions you have. Once we agree on a date and the package you would like I will send through the invoice. A reservation fee is required on booking to secure your session date. I also email you through a client guide with lots of information about what to expect before, during and after your session.
CAN I PURCHASE A GIFT VOUCHER
Yes! You are able to purchase a gift voucher for one of the packages. I can either send the gift voucher to you or directly to the recipient.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS
Yes – I am more than happy to arrange a payment plan for you.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
The first question most people ask is what to wear. Choosing clothing for your session can be a bit overwhelming but hopefully these tips will help! If your session is for more than one person then you all want to look like you are going to the same place ~ casual, formal or summer picnic vibe! I suggest creating one outfit first (often Mum’s) and building the rest of the outfits around that. The aim is to coordinate and compliment each other but not compete. Varying tones of the same colour or a colour palette of complimentary colours can look amazing as well using layers and textures such as scarves, hats or necklaces ~feel free to bring along accessories to add in during the session.
I also recommend that you choose clothing that you will feel comfortable in so you can relax during the session. It is good to think about the location of your session and if the clothing compliments this. For in home sessions anything goes, but if you are having a session in Autumn amongst colorful trees then Autumn colour palettes with boots, hats and scarves will look fab! Another thing to consider is that bright colours, lots of patterns and large logos can quickly date. I am happy to help you decide on your outfit choices too!
CAN WE INCLUDE GRANDPARENTS
I love to include Grandparents! My Classic and All In packages include up to 10 people. Extra people can also be added to your session for a small fee per person, although I don’t charge for children under 1. If the location allows I also love to include pets in your session.
WHEN CAN WE SEE OUR PHOTOS
If you have agreed, a sneak peek will be on Social Media, usually within 48 hours, you can tag yourself and share if you wish. Galleries are ready within 3-4 weeks (sooner if possible). I email you the link to your gallery and password to access your gallery. If you have purchased the All In collection you will be able to download all the images at once and you can share the link to family as well. If you have purchased the Classic or Petite collection you will be able to download the amount of images included in the collection by using the main clients email address.
HOW LONG WILL MY ONLINE GALLERY BE AVAILABLE?
Your online gallery will be available for 2 months. I recommended that you download the images once you receive your gallery access and also back them up.
WHAT IF IT RAINS
I will be in contact the day before your session to do a ‘weather check’ and to confirm our time and meeting place. If we both agree that the weather is not suitable then we will postpone to an available date. I also contact you the day of your session in case the weather forecast changes!
WHAT IF WE NEED TO POSTPONE?
I understand that life and sickness happens and sessions sometimes have to be postponed. I appreciate it if you can give me as much notice as possible. I will let you know my next available dates.
If sessions are postponed for more than 3 months beyond the original session date and my prices have increased then I may require the new session fee to be paid.
If the sessions has been postponed more than twice then a new retainer will be needed to continue with the booking.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A NEWBORN SESSION
When you book a newborn session I pencil in your due date. Once your gorgeous baby arrives (and you feel ready for your session) then contact me and we can decide on a date and time that suits. Every birth is different and you may need more or less recovery time so I allow up to 6 months after birth to schedule your session.
WHAT HAPPENS AT IN HOME NEWBORN SESSIONS
With newborn sessions the baby is photographed at home with their family. The focus is on capturing the connection and love of your family. I will capture special moments with your beautiful new baby or babies, individually and as a whole family. If siblings are involved, we usually focus on those photos first so that they can go and play during the rest of the session. I love when family pets can join in too.
When I arrive, I will walk around the house to find the best light for the session. In most cases, I try to use the nursery, master bedroom and living room. However, we will work with the best lit areas in your home. I know what it’s like to have a newborn, so please don’t feel like you have to do a major cleaning of the entire house before I arrive, although it is best to clear away anything that you don’t want to appear in your photos. I will ask if I need to move anything (furniture, decor, etc) to avoid distractions, however I promise to leave everything as I found it.
Your baby will determine the flow of the session. If the baby is asleep when I arrive, I will start with some crib and nursery shots. If the baby is awake and hungry, I can start with some feeding shots or nursing shots, if you are comfortable with this. I provide gentle guidance to facilitate moments of connection and capture all the details of your new addition. There is no rush and plenty of time for feeding and cuddles.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A MATERNITY SESSION
Most clients schedule their session between 28 and 36 weeks ~ it depends how much you are showing, which phase of your pregnancy you would like to capture and if you have any health issues to be aware of. I recommend not scheduling too close to your due date (as babies have their own time line) and if we need to postpone for weather we need a little bit of time to be able to do so
